Editor: Stephanie, M.Ed, ACC

In another life I was a teacher, a curriculum consultant, and a school librarian for over a decade. Until the stories in my head demanded my life shift towards writing and publishing; a decision that reinvigorated my soul. As a creative writer and editor, I understand the subtle nuances of words and the emotional rollercoaster of bringing a piece to completion. In other words, I bring eagle eye vision and a nurturing touch to the collaborating table. But I also bring community. For many writers, including myself, the hardest part of writing is the lack of a built-in community; no colleagues to bounce ideas around or encourage you when doubts creep in. TQD is an extension of that writing world, bringing resources, community, and services together in one place.

As an editor of kid lit, memoir, self-help, & speculative fiction, my work is to help shape ideas to fruition, create an environment that supports your writing, and ensures the integrity of a book's message is received. Outside of work, I spend my free time writing, reading, gardening, and drinking tea while my boys wrestle my dogs around me. Feel free to reach out anytime for a consultation, find the next writing ensemble, or make me a part of your writing team.

Cozy Read

"Stephanie's a wonderful copyeditor—responsive, thorough, undaunted by complications, exacting in her work, and a sincere pleasure to collaborate with. I recommend her heartily!"

Stephanie, you did not just edit this book, you nurtured it. You handled my words with care and helped bring this story to life in a way I could not have done alone. Thank you for seeing what this was and helping me bring it fully into the world.

What people are saying...

"I’m a professional writer, but I was referred to Stephanie to help jumpstart a personal book project I’d been fantasizing about for years.

She helped me develop goals and schedules to get me started and hold me accountable. Then our sessions turned into so much more!

Through our conversations and exercises she broke me out of my unconscious rigidity, healed past wounds around feelings of fear and self-worth, and reconnected me with my creative core.

My book project is progressing but even more importantly, I have rediscovered the fundamental joy of creative exploration that, as a mother of young kids and a recovering academic, had lain dormant for too long. Now the wellsprings have opened!

Stephanie is more than a writing coach, she’s an intuitive guide who will help you access what you didn’t even know you needed. She’s magic!!"

- Annie T. (Academic Writer)
